Play Therapy & Parenting Support
For young children, play is the language they speak best. And for every child, the adults who care for them are the most important part of the team. That's why we bring play therapy and parenting support together in one service.
In play therapy sessions, our specialists use toys, pretend play and guided games to help little ones express feelings they can't yet put into words, build social skills and practice self-regulation in a setting that feels safe and familiar. It can be especially helpful for children showing signs of ADHD, anxiety, frequent tantrums or difficulty connecting with others.
At the same time, we support the parents and caregivers behind every child. Through one-on-one parent coaching, we help families understand their child's needs, manage challenging behaviors, build consistent routines and turn everyday moments into opportunities for growth, so the progress made in therapy continues at home. Whether you've just received a referral, are adjusting to a new diagnosis or simply feel exhausted and unsure of the next step, you'll have a space to ask questions without judgment.
Within A&E Mind's Early Intervention Program, this service works hand in hand with speech and sensory goals. We also connect families with resources, support groups and community programs. If your child is struggling to manage emotions or engage in play, a first evaluation can help you understand what they need.
